About Saint Peter Julian Eymard
Saint Peter Julian Eymard (1811-1868) has been called by Pope Saint John Paul II the “eminent Apostle of the Eucharist” for our times. He served first as a diocesan priest and then for 17 years as a Marist before founding two religious congregations dedicated to the Eucharistic mystery. Throughout his ministry, Eymard was especially concerned with helping people live a deep and fulfilling relationship with God. He wrote thousands of letters and conferences to guide them in this, with a special focus on God’s goodness and love manifested in the Eucharist.
